Why book with us directly?
As crew members, we understand the dynamics of school tours, travel vouchers, and the challenges of finding suitable mid-term housing within the allowable rate. By booking a Crew Nest, you’re skipping the hassle and unreimbursable fees many big platforms charge guests. You’ll save money and have less headache by working with us directly!
Not military? No problem! Save yourself the additional costs of big-name platforms by going direct!
Are there additional fees like the big name platforms?
No! The upside of booking direct is there are significantly less charges for your stay. For stays greater than 30 days:
- We have a one time $125 cleaning fee for your reservation which covers the biweekly housekeeping services provided.
- There is also a $500 reservation deposit due within 5 calendar days of the lease being signed by both parties. This $500 is not an additional cost. It is applied toward your first month of rent!
- Guests in TDY status are not even charged a security deposit. We do, however, keep a credit card on file should there be damage in excess of normal wear and tear at their move out.
What is the cancellation policy?
We did take a page out of the AirBnB book when determining our strict cancellation policy.
Given our payment due dates of $500 reservation deposit due within 5 days of signing and remainder of first month's prorated rent (if applicable) due no later than 7 days prior to move in, our policy is as follows:
- If the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in.
- No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
We understand the nature of military training may cause a shift in end dates. If you end up shortening your stay, we request as much notice as possible. If we are given less than five (5) days' notice, you are responsible for the rent for up to those five days. If you give greater than 5 days, you are only responsible through the date you vacate the home.
- Example: On Monday, you give 2 day notice you're vacating on Wednesday. You'll be responsible for rent through Saturday, which would have been 5 days from the notice provided.
- Example: On the 10th, you give notice you'll be vacating early on the 20th. You will only be responsible through the 20th.
Oppositely, we will gladly extend you whenever possible. The sooner you notify us that your dates may be running long the more likely we can move whoever is scheduled to occupy that room after you.
What are the house rules?
Our house rules focus around respect for the home and your co-habitants (if house sharing). A full listing of house rules is provided in the rental contract you will receive after reservation and must be reviewed, signed and returned with your reservation fee.
Because the rules are covered in depth in the rental agreement, below lists the big ones:
- No parties, pets, or smoking.
- Quiet hours are between 10p - 8a.
- Respectful use of common areas.
- Abide by roommate agreements and boundaries determined between cohabitants.
